Field Trip Meeting Places
We use three meeting places depending on the trip destination.
For trips going north, we use the Severna Park Park & Ride lot located on the corner of Jones Station Road and Ritchie Hwy (J).
For trips going east, we meet at the Bay 50 Shopping Center located off Rt. 50 on Whitehall Rd.(B-50)
For trips going west or south, we meet at the Parole Park & Ride lot (P). The Parole Park & Ride lot is located along Harry Truman Pkwy which runs between Riva Rd. and South Haven Rd. The lot is near the Riva Rd. end of the Parkway. Please note that times indicated are departure times, so please do not be late.
- Sandy Point State Park - shore birds, migrant raptors, waterfowl
- Fort Smallwood - Migrant raptors in spring and fall
- Patuxent Research Refuge (North tract) - variety of habitats for warblers, woodland,shorebirds, waterfowl
- Greenbury Point - fields, scrub and shrub habitat, views of the Bay
- Anne Arundel County Parks - Downs Park, Jug Bay Wetlands, Quiet Waters Park, B&A Trail Park, Kinder Farm Park
