Private landowners are permitted to register their land as a wildlife sanctuary with MOS and purchase official MOS sanctuary signs to post on their property. Lands posted this way are NOT open to the public. Registration in the program simply confirms the landowner's dedication to the preservation of wildlife.

If you are a resident of the State of Maryland and would like to register your property, fill out an application and submit it, along with $5.00 USD to Karen Morley, 2719 North Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21218, 410-235-4001. Karen is the MOS member responsible for the private sanctuary program. She will enroll your property in the program and send you a metal sign, similiar to the one shown here, which you can post on your property. The costs are $4.00 USD for the sign itself and $1.00 USD for postage.
